Patient Care Technician I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides essential support to patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit, assisting with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene. As the team member who spends the most time with patients, the role requires compassion, strong interpersonal skills, and clear communication with both patients and the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, including hygiene and monitoring vital signs.
• Ensure that all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a minimum GPA of 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and a strong ability to organize tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills, solve problems proactively, and engage patients appropriately.
