Patient Care Technician I – Night Shift, 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician I works on the 2nd‑floor rehabilitation unit during the night shift (6:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). The role supports patients and families with basic care, hygiene, monitoring and ensures that care plans are fully executed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily living activities, hygiene and basic monitoring.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver compassionate, patient‑focused care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and observations.
• Provide education on CPR, skills training, crucial conversations and hospitality in healthcare.
• Work a flexible schedule totaling 72 hours bi‑weekly.

Required profile

• Minimum of 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade (C or higher) in English Composition.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn new healthcare skills, solve problems proactively and engage patients appropriately.
