Patient Care Technician I – Night Shift (3rd Floor Rehab)

About the role

The Patient Care Technician I (PCT) provides basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene assistance to patients and their families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit during the night shift. The role is essential to the patient care team, requiring compassion, strong interpersonal skills, and clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care tasks, monitoring, and hygiene to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain continuous communication with the healthcare team, relaying patient information and updates.
• Provide CPR and basic life support when required.
• Document patient observations and care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to support patient wellbeing throughout the night shift.

Required profile

• At least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a minimum GPA of 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not required; willingness to work flexible night hours.
• Good organization, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn new healthcare skills, solve problems, and proactively anticipate patient needs.
