Planning Engineer

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a Planning Engineer to lead maintenance planning for its operations in Kuwait. The role focuses on developing and optimizing maintenance processes, manpower planning, and coordinating shutdown activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance planning processes to support efficient project execution.
• Establish and optimize manpower planning and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
• Monitor and report maintenance costs, work progress, and overall performance.
• Identify and recommend spare parts, special tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate planned shutdown activities.
• Track maintenance schedules, shutdown progress, and prepare related reports.
• Coordinate maintenance planning activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance planning and preventive maintenance programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance of mechanical, electrical or instrumentation equipment in the oil & gas or industrial sector.
• At least 5 years in a maintenance planning or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in preventive maintenance planning for static and rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, shutdown coordination and resource management.
• Understanding of maintenance reporting, cost control and performance monitoring.
• Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with maintenance planning systems.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
