Project Engineer I – Buildings Projects

About the role

The Project Engineer I will support the planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of office towers, administration buildings and related infrastructure under PMC contracts. Reporting to the senior engineering team, the role ensures delivery through all project phases while acting as the primary technical liaison with the client.

Key responsibilities

• Support project mobilization, setup, takeover and handover activities.
• Lead engineering teams during FEED and prepare scopes of work, technical specifications and tender documents.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP, fire protection, security, ICT, vertical transportation, interior fit‑out) to achieve integrated solutions.
• Review and comment on third‑party deliverables such as P&IDs, equipment datasheets, instrumentation indexes and cable routing.
• Ensure compliance with client Basis of Design, local authority regulations, sustainability goals and international codes.
• Maintain project dashboards, monitor schedule and cost performance with the Project Controls team and forecast final costs.
• Compile and update as‑built documentation, redlines, MTOs, loop folders and commissioning binders for timely handover.
• Act as the main client interface, building relationships and resolving scope or schedule issues with contractors.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in civil, mechanical or a related discipline.
• Experience in building or office‑tower projects, preferably under PMC contracts.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients.
• Strong understanding of design standards, building regulations and sustainability criteria.
• Analytical skills for schedule and cost monitoring.
