Purchases Supervisor – Food

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchases Supervisor – Food to manage the procurement of food products for a leading organization in Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the purchasing of food products, ensuring consistent availability and competitive pricing.
• Manage relationships with local and international food suppliers.
• Source products based on quality, specifications, pricing, and availability.
• Negotiate with suppliers on prices, payment terms, promotions, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor food market prices, seasonal trends, and product availability.
• Ensure products comply with required quality and food safety standards.
• Coordinate closely with inventory, operations, and other relevant teams to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve cost and product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in food purchasing/procurement.
• Strong knowledge of food products and supplier markets.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical abilities.
