Safety Supervisor – Marine & Ports

About the role

Egis is looking for a Safety Supervisor to join its Marine and Ports team in Kuwait. You will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of safety programs that protect employees, assets and the environment while ensuring full compliance with Kuwaiti regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain safety policies, procedures and programs aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments and risk analyses.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training for new hires and refresher sessions for existing staff.
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports and documentation to satisfy audit and reporting obligations.
• Analyse safety data to identify trends, prepare performance reports and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Respond promptly to safety concerns and emergencies, taking decisive action to prevent injuries and property damage.

Required profile

• Proven experience in occupational safety within marine, port or construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of Kuwaiti safety legislation and international safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, investigative and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
