Sales Manager – Hotel Industry

About the role

The Sales Manager will drive revenue growth for our hotel portfolio by cultivating new business, expanding existing accounts, and delivering tailored hospitality solutions. You will act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners, representing the brand across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence to inform sales strategy.
• Generate and qualify sales leads, referring them to appropriate internal teams.
• Sell hotel rooms and services to new, existing, and prospective customers, negotiating optimal rates.
• Manage corporate accounts, maintaining a regular cadence of sales calls and meetings with key decision‑makers.
• Conduct market research, analysis, and client interviews to identify growth opportunities.
• Plan and lead familiarisation tours, site inspections, and client entertainment events.
• Collaborate with regional IHG hotels and the reservation office to maximise occupancy.
• Prepare tenders, assess sales data, and contribute to the development of new products and services.
• Work with the advertising agency on collateral, creative briefs, and stock control of marketing materials.
• Support budgeting, manpower planning, and departmental financial management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales, with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Willingness to travel as needed to promote the hotel and attend industry events.
• Ability to work collaboratively with operations, marketing, and regional teams.
