Senior Electrical Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Technician to join Anton Oilfield Services Group in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing the maintenance of high‑ and low‑voltage electrical systems supporting oil‑field operations, ensuring reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, including substations, distribution panels and transformers.
• Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic instruments.
• Maintain and update equipment records, drawings and maintenance data in a CMMS.
• Develop and revise preventive maintenance plans based on equipment manuals.
• Identify required manpower, materials, spare parts and tools for maintenance activities.
• Prepare daily and monthly maintenance and performance reports.
• Operate and maintain high‑ and low‑voltage electrical networks while complying with safety standards and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Recommend modifications to improve system reliability.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical equipment maintenance, with at least 6 years in Oil & Gas, petrochemical or similar industrial environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with substations, distribution panels and transformers.
• Proven ability in preventive and corrective maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of high‑ and low‑voltage systems and maintenance best practices.
• Experience using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is preferred.
• Excellent technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
