Senior Electrical Technician

About the role

Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join its On‑Sync Energy Management Services team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of high‑ and low‑voltage electrical systems across oil‑field and petrochemical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, including substations, distribution panels and transformers.
• Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic instruments.
• Maintain and update equipment records, drawings and maintenance data in a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Develop preventive maintenance plans based on equipment manuals and operational requirements.
• Identify required manpower, materials, spare parts and tools for maintenance activities.
• Prepare daily and monthly maintenance and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Recommend modifications and improvements to enhance system reliability.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical equipment maintenance, with at least 6 years in the oil & gas, petrochemical or similar industrial sector.
• Strong hands‑on experience with high‑ and low‑voltage systems, substations, distribution panels and transformers.
• Proven ability to conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Familiarity with CMMS for maintenance record keeping is preferred.
• Excellent technical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
