About the role
The Senior Logistics Officer will coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations across the GCC, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective movement of products, inventory and materials. This role supports supply‑chain activities, manages transportation, import/export processes and drives logistics projects.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily logistics operations across the GCC to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods.
- Support planning, execution and monitoring of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers and transportation providers to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor transportation performance, delivery quality and logistics costs, recommending improvements.
- Calculate customs duties, taxes and shipping costs for various product categories.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and support regulatory license applications and renewals.
- Support logistics for new store openings, events, product launches and market expansion.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare routine and ad‑hoc logistics reports, KPIs and performance analyses for management.
- Maintain accurate logistics records, shipping documentation and inventory movement reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as Procurement, Warehouse, Retail Operations, Finance and Sales.
- Monitor freight forwarder performance and support negotiations on service levels and pricing.
- Ensure logistics processes comply with company policies and operational requirements.
- Help develop and update logistics policies, procedures and SOPs.
- Support supply‑chain projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.
- Provide guidance to junior logistics staff and assist with onboarding and training.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply‑chain operations, preferably in luxury retail or a similar retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of GCC logistics operations, customs procedures and import/export regulations.
- Proven experience coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping companies and customs authorities.
- Excellent organizational, communication and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
