About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer oversees and manages the organisation's procurement operations, ensuring strategic sourcing, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies. This senior role provides leadership to junior procurement staff and drives supply‑chain optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, optimise resource allocation and manage costs.
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for capability, reliability and pricing.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favourable terms and long‑term partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, ensuring compliance with contractual and quality standards.
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets, track expenditures and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Lead procurement projects from inception to completion, coordinating with stakeholders and external partners.
• Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
