Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support major water and infrastructure projects. The role involves providing technical oversight of structural and civil construction activities to ensure compliance with designs, standards, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor reinforced concrete and heavy civil structures, including foundations and water‑retaining facilities.
• Review engineering submissions, shop drawings, construction methodologies, and technical documentation for compliance.
• Conduct inspections, verify quality and accuracy of works, and review testing results.
• Oversee material compliance, workmanship standards, and laboratory testing programmes.
• Implement and monitor quality control and inspection processes, maintaining accurate records of inspections and non‑conformances.
• Contribute technical input to project reporting, progress monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Review completion documentation and as‑built records to confirm compliance.
• Support knowledge sharing and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, construction supervision, or infrastructure delivery.
• Proven experience supervising reinforced concrete and heavy civil projects in a consultancy environment.
