Site Manager – Civil Engineering (Assistant Project Manager)

About the role

The Site Manager will have full‑time, direct operational control over the South Al‑Mutlaa water‑treatment plant site. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role coordinates workforce logistics, heavy equipment, subcontractors and work‑front sequencing in line with approved drawings and specifications. The position requires continuous on‑site presence throughout the contract period.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily construction activities across all WWTP treatment units, lifting stations, TSE lines and administrative structures.
• Implement site logistics plans, including access roads, batching plant coordination, material lay‑down and heavy crane setups.
• Allocate labour, plant and materials to meet weekly and monthly look‑ahead programmes.
• Coordinate daily inspections with the consultant’s resident inspection team and ensure compliance with approved drawings.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of field execution experience on large‑scale water/wastewater treatment plants or heavy civil infrastructure.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic is an asset.

Required skills

• Deep excavation and dewatering.
• Water‑retaining structures (BS 8007 / ACI 350).
• Mass concrete pours and interface sequencing.
