Skilled Carpenter – Finish & Rough Carpentry

About the role

Carpenters construct and repair building frameworks and structures, including stairways, doorframes, partitions, and rafters, using wood and other materials. The role also involves installing kitchen cabinets, siding, and drywall for residential and commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drawings for cabinetry, framing and other construction projects on‑site.
• Interpret client requests and provide mock‑ups for approval before work begins.
• Build cabinets, vanities, tub and shower surrounds, and other custom pieces.
• Frame room additions and install windows, molding, and other fixtures.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and related materials.
• Inspect and replace damaged framework, ensuring compliance with building codes.
• Instruct and direct laborers and trade helpers during projects.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• At least 2 years of finish carpentry experience; rough carpentry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physically able to lift at least 80 lb and climb ladders.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
