Social Media Officer

Key responsibilities

• Research viral trends, emerging content formats, and platform best practices.
• Develop creative content concepts for university events, campaigns, student life, academics, and institutional initiatives.
• Create social media designs using tools such as Canva, CapCut, and other design/video software.
• Provide live social media coverage during events, including stories, reels, short‑form videos, and real‑time updates.
• Manage and execute the approved social media content calendar across all platforms.
• Coordinate regularly with university departments and the Events team to identify upcoming activities, achievements, announcements, and success stories.
• Write engaging captions, copy, and social media messages in both English and Arabic.
• Plan, film, and coordinate short‑form video content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
• Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages, and escalate inquiries when appropriate.
• Track content performance and recommend improvements based on analytics and audience insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, communications, or a similar role.

Required skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, and similar content creation tools.
• Experience with major social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Understanding of social media analytics and engagement metrics.
