Social Studies Teacher

About the role

The India International School Mangaf is seeking a full‑time Social Studies Teacher to join its middle‑school team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, CBSE‑aligned lessons in history, civics, geography and related social sciences, while supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet CBSE curriculum standards.
• Teach classes, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a supportive learning environment.
• Participate in curriculum development and co‑curricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on academic projects and school events.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
• Support students’ social and emotional development and model the school’s values.

Required profile

• Strong subject knowledge in Social Studies, including world history and related disciplines.
• Experience teaching middle‑school learners and adapting instruction to diverse needs.
• Effective classroom management, student assessment and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, History or a related field; teacher training or certification preferred.
• Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum and educational technology; commitment to inclusive, student‑centered teaching.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and engage families constructively.
