SSA Receiving Section Lead – Kuwait (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The SSA Receiving Section Lead oversees inbound materiel operations for a theater‑level Supply Support Activity in Southwest Asia. The role ensures accurate receipt, validation, documentation, and processing of a wide range of classified and controlled items.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all receiving activities, including off‑loading, verification, and documentation of inbound Class II, III(P), IV, VII, and IX materiel.
• Validate shipment paperwork, conduct discrepancy checks, and initiate Supply Discrepancy Reports when needed.
• Maintain accurate posting of transactions in GCSS‑Army and ensure timely flow to storage, issue, and customer support sections.
• Supervise receiving personnel, enforce SOPs, safety standards, and inventory procedures.
• Manage HAZMAT receiving, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with host‑nation logistics partners, port officials, and transportation teams for special handling and intermodal movements.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
• 9+ years of Army supply, logistics, or material management experience, including supervisory duties.
• Ability to work in austere, extreme‑heat environments and meet LOGCAP V deployment requirements.
• Valid U.S. passport and ability to meet CRC requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GCSS‑Army (receiving, MRO processing, stock updates).
• HAZMAT/HAZCOM handling and certification.
• Forklift/MHE operation and certification.
• Experience with inventory reconciliation, causative research, and discrepancy resolution.
