Supply Support Activity Manager – Kuwait (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Supply Support Activity (SSA) Manager oversees materiel management, warehouse operations, and customer support for a theater‑level SSA in Southwest Asia. The role integrates stock control, GCSS‑Army execution, and end‑to‑end supply chain oversight to ensure accurate accountability, efficient distribution, and readiness for supported units across the Area of Responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and execute daily SSA operations including receiving, storage, issuing, turn‑ins and COMSEC.
• Conduct inventory management, cyclic counts, causative research and discrepancy resolution.
• Process and validate all supply transactions within GCSS‑Army.
• Coordinate with supported units, maintenance activities and higher headquarters for timely materiel support.
• Manage transportation coordination for materiel movement, retrograde, lateral transfers and receipts.
• Ensure HAZMAT documentation, packaging and regulatory compliance for outbound shipments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Army supply experience or equivalent military logistics background.
• Active or eligible U.S. Secret clearance.
• HS diploma (BS considered) with advanced supply/logistics training preferred.
• Experience supervising Soldiers, DA civilians or contractors.
• Willingness to deploy within CENTCOM AO and work in austere or extreme‑heat environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GCSS‑Army warehouse and stock control functions.
• HAZMAT handling, packaging and documentation knowledge.
• Forklift / MHE operation (certification obtainable after hire).
