Supply Support Activity Operations Manager – Kuwait (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Supply Support Activity (SSA) Operations Manager leads materiel management, warehouse operations, and customer support for a theater‑level SSA in Southwest Asia. This position ensures accurate stock control, efficient distribution, and readiness for supported units across the Area of Responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily SSA activities including receiving, storage, issuing, turn‑ins, and COMSEC handling.
• Manage inventory accuracy, cyclic counts, discrepancy resolution, and GCSS‑Army transaction processing.
• Coordinate transportation for retrograde, lateral transfers, and outbound shipments while ensuring HAZMAT compliance.
• Maintain audit readiness and enforce AR, DA PAM, and theater logistics directives.
• Participate in logistics boards, readiness briefings, and cross‑functional meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of logistics experience, or high school diploma with 9+ years of Army supply experience.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance (preferred) and ability to obtain required HAZMAT/HAZCOM, forklift, and theater certifications.
• U.S. citizenship, valid passport, and willingness to deploy throughout the CENTCOM area.
• Physical ability to stand, bend and lift up to 40 lb in austere, extreme‑heat environments.
