Survey Inspector – Marine and Ports

About the role

Egis is seeking a Survey Inspector to support a major port construction project in Kuwait. The role involves overseeing site surveys, ensuring design compliance, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site surveys and inspections across all construction phases.
• Perform design reviews and provide technical input to optimise plans and specifications.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Utilise advanced survey equipment and techniques for data collection, analysis and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to resolve technical issues and keep the project on schedule.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports with findings, recommendations and supporting documentation.
• Review and validate contractor survey data for accuracy and specification compliance.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Participate in project meetings and advise on survey‑related matters.
• Ensure adherence to local and international construction codes and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in survey inspection, preferably in marine or port construction projects.
• Proficiency with advanced survey equipment and modern surveying techniques.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
