SWA Logistics Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The SWA Logistics Technician provides property accountability, inventory management, and equipment handling for U.S. Air Force operations in Southwest Asia. Working onsite in Kuwait, the role supports BEAR equipment, Mission Ready Spares Packages, and various consumable and tool inventories while maintaining accurate logistics records.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly physical inventories of BEAR equipment, MRSP kits, R‑14 property, R‑15 consumables, ADR assets, tools, and shop equipment.
• Compare physical counts to accountability records, identify discrepancies, and update inventory reports.
• Record shipments, receipts, transfers, turn‑ins, and DLA Disposition Services transactions.
• Research missing items through inspections, record reviews, and coordination with personnel.
• Support the Primary Equipment Custodian with R‑14 and R‑15 property‑accountability requirements.
• Prepare DD Form 1149 shipment documentation and coordinate with the Transportation Management Office.
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments, and physically move property using contractor‑provided trucks.
• Track tools and equipment using barcode scanners, laptops, asset tags, and inventory‑management software.
• Maintain transaction suspense logs, continuity files, and the BEAR equipment yard.

Required profile

• Possession of a U.S. Secret Clearance.
• Experience in property accountability and inventory management for government or military assets.
• Ability to conduct accurate physical inventories and reconcile records.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow logistics documentation procedures.

Required skills

• Use of barcode scanners and asset‑identification tags.
• Proficiency with inventory‑management software.
• Preparation of DD Form 1149 shipment documentation.
