Systems Administrator I (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Systems Administrator I monitors Tier 1 and Tier 2 server operations and performance using dedicated software tools. The role serves as the Helpdesk point‑of‑contact for all theater NIPR and SIPR enterprise system issues, creates and manages trouble tickets, and reports outages to NOC Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain server administration components such as Active Directory OU, security groups, Windows File Server, NPS, DHCP, Print Server, IIS and application servers (e.g., GemOne).
• Configure, troubleshoot and harden Microsoft servers on NIPR, SIPR and SIPR‑REL environments using SCOM, SCCM and DISA STIG guidelines.
• Utilize VMware vSphere clients to take snapshots, monitor system availability and perform regular maintenance, including IAVA‑approved patch installation.
• Conduct SCAP scans for STIG compliance, upload CKLB files to eMASS, and document all troubleshooting steps in the AESMP ticketing system.
• Modify, deactivate and manage user accounts, and provide tier‑1/2 support for network‑connected devices and printers.

Required profile

• Active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• High school diploma (associate degree in IT preferred) and compliance with DoD 8570.01M baseline and CE certifications.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on experience with Windows Server 2012 or newer and Active Directory administration.
• Basic understanding of security principles applied to enterprise AD environments and experience in a customer‑service oriented setting.
