Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician provides aircraft ground handling and servicing at a Southwest Asia installation, supporting United States and Coalition Forces. Reporting to the Supervisor, the role ensures safe, efficient aircraft arrival, turn‑around, and departure in a high‑tempo, 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, and positioning in accordance with Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
• Execute arrival and departure services, including chocking, grounding, and safe positioning on the flight line.
• Conduct ground handling and servicing tasks required for aircraft turn‑around and mission readiness.
• Assist with aircraft launch and recovery operations in coordination with supervisors and airfield management.
• Inspect and service vehicles and support equipment used in TAS operations.
• Maintain strict tool accountability and participate in FOD prevention activities.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs, and inspection checklists.

Required profile

• Valid U.S. Secret clearance.
• Ability to work in a 24/7/365 flight‑line environment, including austere conditions.
• Commitment to a ZERO‑Harm workplace and strict adherence to safety directives.
• Experience with aircraft ground handling or related aviation support preferred.
