Transient Aircraft Services Technician (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The Transient Aircraft Services (TAS) Technician provides aircraft ground handling and servicing at a Qatar installation, supporting United States and Coalition Forces. Working 24/7 in a high‑tempo, austere environment, the role ensures safe, efficient aircraft arrivals, turn‑arounds and departures while complying with all applicable directives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a ZERO‑harm workplace by following flight‑line safety, FOD prevention, tool control and PPE requirements.
• Perform aircraft marshaling, parking, positioning, chocking and grounding in accordance with Technical Orders and airfield procedures.
• Execute arrival and departure services, including turn‑around ground handling tasks.
• Assist in aircraft launch and recovery operations with supervisors and airfield management.
• Inspect and service ground support vehicles and equipment, ensuring accountability and compliance with tool‑control programs.
• Conduct routine flight‑line inspections, remove foreign objects and report safety hazards.
• Document aircraft servicing records, shift logs and inspection checklists.
