Welding Inspector

About the role

Rokadiya Overseas is recruiting a Welding Inspector for a temporary contractual assignment in Kuwait City. The role supports quality assurance on welding and fabrication work by verifying compliance with approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans, and applicable industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect welding activities, fit‑up, joint preparation, preheating, welding parameters, and completed welds.
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, material certificates, inspection reports, and supporting quality records.
• Perform or coordinate visual inspections and arrange non‑destructive testing when required.
• Identify nonconformities, document findings, and follow corrective actions through closure.
• Maintain daily inspection reports, weld maps, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
• Coordinate with welding teams, construction personnel, quality engineers, and client representatives to resolve technical issues.
• Apply safe working practices and comply with site quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience inspecting structural, piping, pressure‑vessel, or industrial welding work.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, joint types, weld symbols, fit‑up controls, and common weld defects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding procedure specifications, inspection and test plans, and applicable codes or standards.
• Practical understanding of visual inspection and coordination of radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic‑particle, and dye‑penetrant testing.
• Competence in preparing inspection reports, weld traceability records, punch lists, and nonconformance reports.
• Ability to work safely in construction or industrial environments and collaborate with site teams.
