Assistant Audit Manager – Financial Audit

About the role

The firm is seeking an Assistant Audit Manager to support the Financial Audit Manager in planning, supervising, and delivering audit engagements. The role involves ensuring compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, and relevant Kuwaiti laws while providing technical guidance and training to audit teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the department’s annual promotional plan and technical/financial proposals.
• Support client engagement processes, including drafting engagement letters and managing audit contracts.
• Lead audit teams, allocate tasks based on competencies, and monitor performance to meet professional standards.
• Prepare monthly reports on audit portfolio management and resource allocation.
• Step in as line manager during the manager’s absence and perform any additional tasks assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent; CISA is a plus.
• 8–11 years of experience in financial audit, preferably with Big Four exposure.
• Proven experience managing audit teams and diversified audit portfolios.

Required skills

• Proficiency with automated audit and financial reporting software.
