Barista – Friendly Café Team Member

About the role

We are seeking a friendly, skilled Barista to join our café team in Salmiya. You will craft high‑quality coffee and beverages while delivering excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea and other drinks according to company standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders and related equipment.
• Accurately take customer orders and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment and dining area.
• Store and handle coffee, milk, syrups and other ingredients properly.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify the supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
• Follow food safety, health and hygiene regulations.
• Address customer questions, requests and complaints professionally.
• Assist with opening, closing and daily café operations.

Required profile

• Previous barista or café experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso‑based drinks.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Attention to detail, positive attitude and flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Latte art and specialty coffee preparation.
• Basic understanding of coffee beans, roasting and brewing methods.
• Upselling techniques and product promotion.
• Cash‑handling and POS system experience.
