Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the preparation of URC's consolidated financial statements and ensure timely, accurate monthly reporting across all subsidiaries. This senior position also oversees tax declarations, DMTT calculations, and compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and consolidate monthly financial statements received from subsidiaries and associates.
• Coordinate with external tax auditors to obtain final approvals.
• Prepare URC’s consolidation and monthly closing processes, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Manage tax declarations for URC – Kuwait and all local subsidiaries, gathering data for DMTT tax calculations.
• Apply transfer pricing policies to intercompany transactions and ensure compliance with country‑by‑country reporting requirements.
• Analyze monthly consolidated financial reports and support the development of procedural manuals.
• Collaborate with senior management and participate in cross‑functional teams to disseminate critical information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• 6‑8 years of experience, preferably in the real‑estate sector.
• Extensive experience with financial consolidations and tax compliance.
• Strong written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Knowledge of master file tax and country‑by‑country reporting requirements.
