Chief Accountant

About the role

Al Mashaan General Trading & General Contracting for Buildings Co. is looking for a Chief Accountant to lead its finance team in Rai. This full‑time, on‑site position will be responsible for the overall accuracy of the company’s financial reporting and for supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
• Provide financial insights for management decision‑making
• Stay updated on financial regulations and trends

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 10 years of accounting experience, including managerial roles
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities
