Crane Operator – Operator II

About the role

The Crane Operator – Operator II is responsible for safely operating overhead and mobile cranes to support plant, yard, and finishing area operations. The role ensures smooth material flow by handling, lifting, loading, unloading, and positioning raw materials, semi‑finished and finished products in line with production requirements and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate overhead and mobile cranes according to approved procedures and safety rules.
• Handle, lift, load, unload, and position raw materials, semi‑finished and finished products.
• Follow production requirements to maintain uninterrupted material flow.
• Report any equipment malfunction, unsafe condition, abnormal load, or deviation from standard procedures to the supervisor immediately.
• Adhere strictly to lifting plans, operating limits, and safety systems without making modifications.
• Escalate decisions related to load approval, operational changes, maintenance actions, or work stoppages beyond immediate safety concerns to higher authority.

Required profile

• Works under the supervision of an assigned supervisor or in‑charge.
• Authorized to operate cranes and lifting equipment for routine production, yard, and dispatch activities.
• No authority to modify lifting plans or operating limits.
• Must promptly report any safety or equipment issues.
