Director of Compliance

About the role

The company, a large Kuwait‑based group preparing for an IPO on Boursa Kuwait’s Premier Market, seeks a Director of Compliance. This senior, hands‑on position will own the compliance framework, guide the organization through IPO readiness, and continue to lead compliance after the company becomes listed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the entire Compliance function and build a dedicated team as the business grows.
• Own the compliance workstream for IPO readiness, assessing gaps and driving closure.
• Implement and maintain compliance with CMA Kuwait and Boursa Kuwait regulations, including disclosures, conflicts of interest, related‑party transactions, whistleblowing, insider‑trading controls, and governance reporting.
• Manage regulatory correspondence, submissions, inspections and follow‑up actions.
• Develop clear compliance reporting for senior management, the Board and its committees.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, Finance and external IPO advisers.

Required profile

• Significant compliance experience in Kuwait, preferably within a Boursa Kuwait‑listed company.
• Strong practical knowledge of CMA Kuwait regulations and Boursa Kuwait requirements.
• Proven track record of owning corporate compliance responsibilities and building compliance frameworks.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, current residence in Kuwait.
• Experience supporting an IPO, listing, governance transformation or post‑listing transition is a major advantage.
