Finance Manager - Automotive

About the role

The Finance Manager will support the Finance Director in overseeing the finance analysis function for an automotive business unit. This position blends leadership with hands‑on financial work, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to drive financial performance and provide insight to General Managers and Directors.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, integrating inputs from cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Prepare strategic, business and quarterly review plans for corporate management.
• Conduct revenue‑enhancing and cost‑saving analyses, including pricing and profitability studies.
• Review capital expenditure models and manage internal approval processes.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, recommending enhancements and supporting new system implementations.
• Coordinate the financial control function and mentor a team of analysts.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis for new business opportunities and expansion projects.

Required profile

• Professional qualification – CA, CPA, CMA, MBA or equivalent.
• 4‑8 years of post‑qualification finance experience, including at least 1 year as a Finance Manager in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting concepts and excellent analytical capability.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
• Proven talent‑development skills and ability to coach diverse team members.
