Head of Finance – Kuwait

About the role

Tabby is launching its operations in Kuwait and is looking for a Head of Finance to lead the local finance function from day one. The role will be the senior finance leader for the Kuwait entity, responsible for building a robust controllership and reporting framework that can scale with the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Kuwait books: general ledger, chart of accounts, accounting manual and month‑end close, aligned with Group policy.
• Run a disciplined monthly close calendar, produce the Kuwait reporting pack with variance commentary and balance‑sheet substantiation for Group Finance.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and notes, including Arabic‑language reconciliation and compliance with Kuwait Companies Law.
• Ensure clean integration of Kuwait data into Group consolidation, handling inter‑company reconciliation, transfer‑pricing support and related‑party disclosures.
• Maintain a full reconciliation framework for banks, payment‑service providers, receivables, merchant payables, collections and suspense items.
• Manage Central Bank of Kuwait regulatory reporting and respond to regulatory queries, inspections and information requests.
• Support licensing, capital requirements and other statutory compliance matters.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven experience in controllership and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement chart of accounts, close processes and reporting packs.
• Strong knowledge of Kuwait statutory reporting, Companies Law and Central Bank requirements.
• Experience working with group finance functions and consolidation processes.
