Planning Engineer – 400kV Overhead Transmission Line

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team immediately on a 400 kV overhead transmission line project in Kuwait. The role involves creating and maintaining the project schedule, monitoring progress, and supporting the Project Manager with forecasting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update the detailed baseline schedule using Primavera P6 or equivalent.
• Plan and monitor engineering, procurement, civil works, tower erection, conductor/OPGW stringing, testing and commissioning activities.
• Track actual progress against the approved baseline and identify delays, critical activities and schedule risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, schedule updates and look‑ahead schedules.
• Analyze project performance, productivity, critical path and schedule variance; propose recovery programs when needed.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, subcontractors and suppliers to collect accurate progress information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of planning experience on high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects, preferably 400 kV.
• Immediate availability is mandatory.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (or equivalent scheduling software).
• OHL construction activities knowledge (foundations, tower erection, conductor/OPGW stringing, testing, commissioning).
• Progress measurement, critical path analysis, schedule control and delay analysis.
