Project Director – Offshore Marine

About the role

HEISCO is looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the execution of large‑scale offshore and marine construction projects in Kuwait and the wider GCC region. The role oversees the delivery of complex EPC contracts covering offshore facilities, marine structures, dredging works, jetties, pipelines, ports and coastal developments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for offshore and marine construction projects.
• Develop and implement execution strategies to meet scope, budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, marine operations and commissioning.
• Oversee offshore construction activities, marine logistics, heavy‑lifting operations, vessel coordination and subcontractor performance.
• Manage client relationships and act as the primary interface with executive stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Drive project controls, risk management, cost optimisation and schedule performance.
• Ensure compliance with international marine construction standards, contractual requirements and HSE regulations.
• Handle commercial and contractual matters, including claims, change orders and profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Marine or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore, marine construction or EPC project delivery.
• Extensive knowledge of marine construction methodologies, offshore operations, coastal developments, dredging, jetties, ports and offshore structures.
• Strong understanding of project management, commercial management, contracts and project controls.
• Proven success managing high‑value EPC projects with complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience managing offshore construction vessels, marine logistics and subcontractors.
