Safety Officer – Industrial Facilities Management (Kuwait)

About the role

The Safety Officer will support the highest HSE standards on a prestigious industrial facilities management contract in Ahmadi, Kuwait. You will work closely with project management and site personnel to ensure a safe working environment and full compliance with KOC HSSE procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular HSE inspections and audits, recommending corrective actions for any non‑compliance.
• Lead safety meetings, communicate HSE policies, and deliver training/awareness programs.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and support the preparation of JSA, risk assessments, monthly HSE reports, and fall‑protection plans.
• Organise and conduct emergency drills and maintain HSE data for performance analysis.
• Perform musculoskeletal screening and ergonomic risk assessments, updating the Occupational Health Risk Register.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in science or Engineering diploma from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in oil & gas or industrial projects.
• Certified HSE courses such as NEBOSH, ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, and First Aid (KOC HE.004).
• Valid Kuwaiti driving licence and fluency in spoken and written English.
