Senior Auditor

About the role

KPMG Kuwait is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its audit practice. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, applying KPMG’s audit methodology and leveraging technology tools to deliver high‑quality audit engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and present appropriate audit evidence, addressing audit objectives and linking findings to the overall audit plan.
• Document audit work in line with KPMG Audit Methodology, regulatory requirements, and the firm’s IT systems.
• Draw initial conclusions on client queries, flagging commercial or technical issues and escalating when necessary.
• Perform fieldwork, assist in budgeting and pricing, schedule audits, allocate staff, and develop audit strategies.
• Identify audit differences and issues, escalating significant matters to senior management.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in accounting or auditing (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
• Strong knowledge of prevailing accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with audit teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit-specific IT systems and tools.
• Understanding of audit methodology and regulatory frameworks.
