Senior Information Technology Auditor

About the role

The Senior Information Technology Auditor will lead and execute IS audit engagements in line with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and the internal audit manual. The role requires independent judgment, thorough testing, and clear documentation to ensure the bank’s IT control environment is robust and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct information systems audits according to approved audit plans with minimal supervision.
• Evaluate the control environment, internal controls, and information security measures.
• Lead fieldwork, perform detailed testing, and document results in compliance with IPPF standards.
• Prepare audit workpapers, draft audit reports, and address review comments from IA management.
• Follow up on audit recommendations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and approved by the Head of IT & Continuous Audit.
• Apply Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) to analyse large data sets, identify control gaps and trends.
• Maintain compliance with the bank’s quality assurance program for all internal IS audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) preferred.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in information systems auditing or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IPPF audit standards and internal audit methodologies.
• Experience with Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs) for data analysis.
• Understanding of IT controls, information security frameworks, and risk assessment.
