Senior Safety Officer

About the role

The Senior Safety Officer will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies across Alghanim Industries facilities. You will work closely with business units, contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review HSE policies, identify improvement areas and ensure compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement controls and communicate findings to relevant teams.
• Monitor contractor compliance, review and approve RAMS before work starts.
• Record, investigate and report accidents, incidents and near‑misses, driving root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accident statistics, raise safety alerts and support monthly EH&S meetings.
• Plan and execute annual fire drills, fire‑awareness and first‑aid training.
• Identify site‑specific training needs and deliver toolbox talks.
• Carry out inspections of work sites, contractor practices and address safety violations.

Required profile

• Graduate or Diploma in Safety or Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in H&S or safety supervisory roles.
• NEBOSH General Certificate and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Strong knowledge of KFF, MOSA and PAM regulations.
• Fluent in English (Arabic an advantage) and a valid driving licence.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
