Accountant & Cost Controller – Food & Beverage

About the role

WOW MILKY is looking for an experienced Accountant & Cost Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting and cost‑control functions across its central kitchen and branch network in Kuwait. The role blends office‑based financial management with regular on‑site cash audits at all branches.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Reconcile daily branch sales, POS, cash, KNET/card transactions and cash deposits.
• Conduct regular and unannounced branch visits to perform physical cash counts, verify cash floats, petty cash and investigate any discrepancies.
• Lead cost‑control activities in the central kitchen, including inventory costing, production costing, recipe costing and variance analysis.
• Document findings, report cash shortages or overages and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting and cost‑control experience within the food & beverage industry.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on cost‑control experience in a central kitchen or food‑production environment.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Willingness to travel across Kuwait for regular and unannounced field visits.
