Assistant Vice President – Legal

About the role

NBK Wealth, a leading wealth management group in the Middle East, is looking for an Assistant Vice President – Legal to join its Kuwait platform. The role provides strategic legal counsel on high‑value, cross‑border transactions, with a focus on alternative investments and real assets.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex transaction documentation across alternative investments, private markets and real assets.
• Advise on investment structuring, joint ventures, co‑investments and strategic partnerships, especially in Western jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel to manage risk and protect NBK Wealth’s interests.
• Support the development and launch of investment platforms and products, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable institution; UK Solicitor qualification or equivalent preferred.
• 8‑10 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, asset manager, investment platform or financial institution.
• Strong exposure to asset management, private markets, alternative investments and real‑asset transactions.
• Proven ability to work independently, coordinate with external advisors and influence stakeholders.

Required skills

• Fluent in English and Arabic for drafting and negotiating agreements.
• Deep understanding of structured finance, credit and real‑estate transactions.
