CAD & GIS Specialist – Marine & Ports

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented CAD & GIS Specialist to join our Kuwait team, supporting marine and port projects. The role combines precise technical drawing production with advanced geographic information system management to deliver high‑quality spatial analyses for our infrastructure initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain CAD drawings and related technical documentation using industry‑standard software.
• Create, analyse and manage GIS data, including spatial databases, coordinate systems and map layers.
• Prepare detailed maps, visualisations and geographic analyses to aid project planning and decision‑making.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure specifications are met.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks on CAD and GIS deliverables to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in CAD and GIS applications and implement effective solutions.
• Organise and maintain comprehensive project documentation, metadata and technical specifications.
• Customize CAD templates and GIS workflows to improve team productivity and standardise processes.
• Support integration of spatial data from multiple sources and coordinate systems.
• Participate in team meetings, providing technical expertise on CAD and GIS matters.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Advanced expertise in GIS platforms, preferably ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of spatial databases, coordinate systems and map creation.
• Capability to perform quality‑assurance checks on technical drawings and GIS datasets.
