Director of Sales – Hotel

About the role

The Director of Sales leads the hotel’s sales and marketing function, driving revenue growth across rooms, food & beverage, and event spaces. You will shape strategy, coach a high‑performing team, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily sales activities, staffing, and performance coaching for the sales team.
• Set and achieve personal and team sales targets, maximizing profitability.
• Develop and execute sales plans that increase occupancy, average daily rate, and ancillary revenue.
• Prepare and monitor departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Produce monthly sales reports and market analyses to guide strategic decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, conventions, and group business partners.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to deliver seamless service for events and group bookings.
• Identify marketing opportunities and drive brand awareness locally.
• Handle ad‑hoc projects and ensure compliance with hotel standards.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hotel sales or a comparable hospitality environment.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Excellent analytical and budgeting skills.
• Ability to develop and mentor a sales team.
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong relationship‑building capabilities.
