About the role
The EMT Basic will join the fire department in Kuwait, responding to fire, medical and related emergencies. The role involves providing on‑scene emergency care, transporting patients, and supporting fire safety education.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls, assess patients, obtain medical history and provide emergency care at the scene and during transport.
- Operate and maintain EMS equipment, stretchers, litters and other medical tools.
- Communicate patient condition and status to paramedics and the Medical Officer.
- Educate staff and the public on fire safety and prevention.
Required profile
- Nationally registered EMT‑Basic with CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications.
- Minimum 2 years experience in an emergency health‑care setting and on an ambulance.
- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
- Physically able to lift at least 100 lb and work shifts including days, swings and midnight.
Required skills
- EMT‑Basic emergency medical procedures.
- CPR/BLS and First Aid.
- Operation of medical and fire‑department equipment.
