Environmental Health & Safety Specialist – HSE Lead

About the role

Join Baker Hughes as an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist and lead HSE initiatives across multiple product lines. You will partner with business unit leaders to embed safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and represent the company at external events.

Key responsibilities

• Engage business unit leadership to drive shared accountability for HSE performance and embed HSE into management systems.
• Identify hazards, develop and validate safety‑critical barriers, and enforce a sense of urgency across product lines.
• Interpret and apply Kuwait Occupational Safety & Health regulations, ensuring full compliance.
• Collaborate with the broader Baker Hughes HSE function to deploy standards and accelerate performance improvements.
• Represent the company at industry and community events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of professional HSE experience, preferably in oil & gas, energy, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Kuwait OHS regulations and experience working with local regulatory agencies.
• Proven ability to interface effectively with all organizational levels, contractors, vendors, and customers.
• Approval as HSE by KOC is a plus.
