Experienced Accountant – Full-Time in Salmiya, Kuwait

About the role

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our reputable trading company in Salmiya, Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle independently, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with local regulations. The role reports to the Finance Manager and works closely with other departments to maintain financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the accounting system without reliance on managers or owners.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ledgers, and financial statements.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, manage inventory accounting, and coordinate with auditors.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience working exclusively as an accountant.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting tasks.
• Residency in Kuwait (transferable residence is required).
• Strong attention to detail and good knowledge of Kuwaiti accounting standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Tally accounting software.
