Family Physician – Primary Care (Ahmadi, Kuwait)

About the role

The Ministry of Health of the State of Kuwait is seeking a full‑time Family Physician to work on‑site in Ahmadi. The physician will deliver comprehensive primary care to individuals and families of all ages, supporting the nation’s public health objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, clinical assessments, and diagnose acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide preventive care, health education, and manage follow‑up visits.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and ensure continuity for patients with complex needs.
• Participate in community health initiatives and maintain accurate medical records.
• Adhere to Ministry of Health clinical guidelines and contribute to quality improvement and patient safety activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with residency or specialist training in Family Medicine or General Practice.
• Valid medical license and eligibility to practice in Kuwait per Ministry of Health requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to ethical, patient‑centered care, continuous learning, and adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Experience with electronic medical records and basic computer literacy; proficiency in English (Arabic advantageous).
