Finance Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function of a leading retail and distribution company in Kuwait City. This senior role will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, driving financial performance and transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full finance function, aligning financial operations with business strategy.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, accurate accounting, and robust internal controls.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and risk exposure.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team.
• Supervise a team of finance professionals across multiple business units.
• Drive digital and process improvements within the finance department.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or similar certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of finance leadership experience, preferably in retail, distribution, or multi‑entity environments.
• Strong background in budgeting, reporting, and financial controls.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Based in Kuwait or willing to relocate.
