Generator and HVAC Technician

About the role

The Generator and HVAC Technician will provide on‑site technical support for U.S. Army generators and HVAC systems in Kuwait, ensuring reliable power and environmental control for mission‑critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on 3 kW to 150 kW generators (50/60/400 Hz) and associated AC/DC, electronic control, and wiring systems.
• Overhaul and sustain generators, including installation and removal from fixed and mobile locations.
• Operate load banks for testing and fabricate wire harnesses with soldered terminals.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC units, chillers, and environmental control units, both standalone and trailer‑mounted.
• Maintain commercial power generation equipment, military‑spec generators, and UPS systems.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• High School diploma; alternatively BA/BS with 2 years experience, AA/AS with 4 years, or High School with 7 years experience.
• 3+ years of related experience in generator and HVAC maintenance.
• Valid U.S. passport (minimum 2 years), driver’s license and international driver’s permit.

Required skills

• Extensive diesel generator experience, including parallel systems and switchgear.
• HVAC repair, brazing copper tubing, refrigerant evacuation and recharge.
• Load bank operation, wire harness fabrication, and soldering.
• Ability to travel 50‑75% to regional sites (Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq).
